A Rental Agent in a car rental company is responsible for assisting customers in selecting, renting, and returning vehicles while ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations. The role involves handling reservations, processing payments, inspecting vehicles, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in selecting rental vehicles based on their needs and preferences.
• Process rental reservations, agreements, and payments accurately.
• Verify customer credentials, including driver's licenses and insurance requirements.
• Explain rental terms, insurance options, and additional services to customers.
• Inspect vehicles before and after rental to assess damages and cleanliness.
• Handle customer complaints, inquiries, and requests professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle availability, reservations, and contracts.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good condition.
• Upsell additional services such as GPS, insurance, and vehicle upgrades.
• Assist in managing the fleet and tracking vehicle returns to maintain availability.
• Follow company policies and legal regulations regarding vehicle rental.

Job requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is a plus).
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or the car rental industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with car rental software and booking systems is advantageous.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency for processing reservations and payments.

• A valid driver’s license B(manual) and a clean driving record may be required.

Work Conditions
